About East Hull is Wonderful
East Hull is Wonderful, the Hull Kingston Rovers fanzine was the brainchild of three Robins supporters - Mike Elsworthy, Russell Jones and Jonathon Knaggs.
The idea started to become a reality in October 2000 with a host of ideas, meetings, writing and hard work culminating in the launch of our first issue a month later.
It was our opinion that a fanzine was one of the missing elements at the club from a supporters point of view since the demise of the previous fans favourite 'Flag Edge Touch' so we believed it was the perfect opportunity to fill that particular hole in the clubs repetoir.
Despite venturing into the unknown the fanzine proved a huge hit with supporters and Seven issues of EHiW were produced during its inaugural season.
The 2002 season saw a change to our Editorial team with the departure of Mike Elsworthy but the fanzine continued and proved to be as popular as ever with the number of issues published now into double figures.
After nearly 10 years of production and 48 issues it was announced in August 2009 that the end has finally arrived.
